My name is Zak, and my karting journey began just over two years ago with arrive-and-drive corporate karts at Bayford Meadows in Kent. From those early days, I quickly transitioned to Honda 160 Cadet owner-karting, where my passion for the sport truly ignited.
In late 2023, I stepped up to the Honda R200 category, aiming to compete in the Ultimate Karting Series. However, due to limited entries in the R200 class, I made the switch to Rotax Mini Inter at the start of the championship. Despite the challenge of adapting to a new class, I swiftly honed my racecraft and completed the UKC series, traveling across the UK to compete against some of the best drivers in the sport.
What I love most about karting is the quality time it allows me to spend with my family. Karting is a team effort for us, and we tackle every race meeting together, guided by our motto: “Race for fun, and if we win, that’s a bonus.”
Beyond my personal racing journey, we also run Zenico Racing—a platform where we support young karters starting out in the sport. Through Zenico Racing, we aim to promote the family-friendly ethos of karting while inspiring and guiding the next generation of drivers.
As I look to the future, I’m seeking sponsorship to help me continue growing in the sport. For 2025, I’ve entered the Junior Karting Championship (JKC) and am currently training in the Junior Rotax class, as I’ve aged out of the Inter Class. With sponsorship, I can push my limits further, continue to support others through Zenico Racing, and pursue my dream of progressing into car racing by the age of 15.
